Rudolf Lehr (journalist, 1924)

Rudolf Lehr (born March 22, 1924 in Sandhausen ; † July 23, 1999 ) was a German journalist and dialect researcher and poet.

Life

After serving in the war and being a prisoner of war, Lehr worked as a commercial clerk. He then worked as a freelance journalist before he headed the Wiesloch local editorial team of the Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung from 1966 until his retirement in 1984 .

From 1960 he wrote numerous writings, including the series Kurpfälzer Land , which appeared in seven episodes from 1960 to 1969 , the Kurpfälzer Anecdotenschatz , which appeared in five editions during his lifetime, and many other titles on the dialect of the Kurpfalz . His work also includes several plays as well as various contributions to local history publications.

In addition to several literary prizes, Lehr was awarded the township of Sandhausen's gold medal, the Baden-Württemberg State Medal of Merit in 1983 and the Federal Cross of Merit in 1989.
