Rudolf Linge

Rudolf Linge (born July 7, 1921 in Heiligenstadt ; † October 3, 1986 there ) was a German writer and editor .

Life

The son of a master hairdresser completed an apprenticeship in his father's business and took part in the Second World War as a soldier . After the end of the war he began to work as a writer. From 1960 he worked as an editor at the FW Cordier publishing house . After the expropriation of the publisher and its incorporation into the St. Benno Verlag , he worked here in the same position from 1972. His debut novel was published by St. Benno in 1962 in a series of books about Catholic poets.

In addition to prose works, he was involved in anthologies and was at times co-editor of the Marian and house books popular with Catholics in the GDR . As a regional historian, he published works on the religious traditions of the Eichsfeld and a collection of regional sagas and legends.
