Rudolf Meßmann (born December 22, 1930 ) is a former German football player . The defender of 1. FC Amberg won the national cup of the DFB four times in a row with the Bavarian amateur team from 1952 to 1955 .

career

The defender Rudolf Meßmann spent his football career in his home town in Upper Palatinate, with the black and yellow team of 1. FC Amberg. In the season 1951/52 Amberg celebrated the championship in the amateur league Bavaria , but failed in the promotion round to the II. Division . The middle runner and head of defense won the amateur cup for the first time in 1952 under BFV association trainer Alv Riemke . In Wuppertal, Bavaria prevailed against the Lower Rhine with 4-0 goals. Egon Loy convinced in goal, Messmann directed the defensive as center runner and in attack Erich Bäumler , Ludwig Hinterstocker and Johann Zeitler created a goal threat. Messmann celebrated his fourth success in the regional cup in 1955 with a 5-2 victory in Augsburg against the selection of Westphalia.

With his hometown club 1. FC Amberg, he belonged to the 1st Amateur League South Bavaria from 1953 to 1963 and was runner-up in the rounds of 1955/56 and 1956/57. From the 1972/73 season his son Peter was a member of the first team in Amberg. He made 50 appointments in the BFV selection.
