Rudolf Pleban

Rudolf Pleban (born November 25, 1913 in Peterwardein , † June 1, 1965 in Zwettl ) was an Austrian painter , graphic artist and sculptor .

In 1948, Pleban, together with Carlos Riefel and Alfons Hetmanek, took part in the conversion of the left wing of the Künstlerhaus in Vienna into a cinema. He created numerous sgraffiti , such as the portrait of Franz Schubert at Tullnerbacher Bahnhof.

Mosaic "Brickworkers" in Vienna-Favoriten

In 1955 he designed the large-scale mosaic "Brick Workers" on the facade of the residential building Laxenburger Straße 12 in Vienna- Favoriten , which was placed under monument protection.
