Rudolf Schmalfeld
Rudolf Schmalfeld ( February 22, 1858 in Neustrelitz - 1922 in Berlin ) was a German singer ( tenor ) and singing teacher .
Life
He received his training with Franz von Milde in Hanover and CF Törsleff in Leipzig. After having worked successfully on several stages, he joined the Dessau Court Theater Association on October 1, 1885, where he stayed for almost ten years and enjoyed the greatest popularity. From 1891 to 1892 he was engaged in Zurich. From 1895 onwards, Schmalfeld took part in his wife Margarete von Vahsel's art trips , both of whom took them through the old and new world, also settled in America for some time and then went to Berlin with her and worked as a singing teacher .
