Rudolf Thume

Rudolf Thume (born March 24, 1885 in Böhmisch Leipa ; † December 31, 1945 ibid) was a German manufacturer and district administrator in the Bohemian Leipa district .

Life

Born as the son of a manufacturer of flax yarn and later of wheat starch as well as the founder of Bürgerliche Brauhaus AG in Bohemian Leipa, Thume studied chemistry at the Technical University in Prague . During his studies he became a member of the Teutonia Prague fraternity . He became a qualified engineer (Dipl.-Ing.) And was a one-year volunteer with the field cannon regiment in Prague. He took part in the First World War as a reserve lieutenant in the Austrian army and became a first lieutenant in 1915 with assignments in Russia and France .

In 1914 he took over his father's factory, which he sold in 1928 and then worked as a sales representative . In 1938 he became a member of the NSDAP (No. 6795483) and from 1939 to 1945 he was district administrator of the Bohemian Leipa district. After the end of the Second World War he was interned and died at the end of 1945 under miserable circumstances in a camp in Bohemian Leipa.
