Rudolf Wickel

Rudolf Wickel (born March 20, 1933 in Bonn ) is a German politician and former member of the state parliament ( FDP ) in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Life and work

After attending elementary school and high school with a secondary school leaving certificate, he first passed the mechanical engineering qualification and then completed an apprenticeship as a technician by 1962. From 1962 to 1972 he was a section engineer at the Stadtwerke Bonn. From 1972 to 1981 he was a clerk at what was then the Federal Office for Civil Protection , and from 1981 he was a consultant in this office, which has been called the Federal Office for Civil Protection since 1973 .

He has been a member of the FDP since 1963. From 1977 to 1992 he was district chairman of the FDP Bonn, from 1980 to 1983 chairman of the Cologne district association of the FDP and from 1983 to 1994 deputy state chairman of the FDP NRW.

Wickel was a member of the Bonn City Council from 1975 to 1994 and was chairman of the FDP parliamentary group. From May 30, 1985 to May 31, 1995 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . From 1985 to 1990 he was deputy chairman of the FDP parliamentary group in the state parliament.
