Rudolf Wilmes
Rudolf Wilmes (* 1894 in Langendreer , † 1955 in Munich ) was a German Romance scholar , Aragonist and linguist .
life and work
Wilmes was a student of Fritz Krüger . From 1929 to 1932 he collected material in the Aragonese Pyrenees for his dissertation on the vocabulary of the Vio Valley (using the “words and things” method). The work appeared in three parts:
- The household items in the high Aragonesian farmhouse of the Valle de Vio, in: Volkstum und Kultur der Romanen 10, 1937, pp. 213–246
- Contribución a la terminología de la flora y fauna pirenaica: Valle de Vio, in: Homenaje a Fritz Krüger , Vol. 2, Mendoza 1954, pp. 157-192
