Rudolf Winterwerb

Rudolf Winterwerb (born May 5, 1863 in Frankfurt am Main ; † December 28, 1941 there ) was a German banker .

Life

After attending the municipal grammar school in Frankfurt am Main, Rudolf Winterwerb studied at the universities of Heidelberg and Berlin . In Heidelberg he became a member of the Corps Suevia in 1881 . After graduating as Dr. jur. he was a lawyer in Frankfurt am Main from 1889 to 1899 . From 1899 to 1931 he was director and board member of the Frankfurter Bank .

In addition to his legal and banking activities, Rudolf Winterberg also worked as a local Frankfurt poet. Theo Schäfer wrote him in the Frankfurter Dichterbuch from 1905. Some of his poems are reproduced in the Frankfurt-Ein Lesebuch published by Diethard H. Klein in 1987 . He was one of the patrons of the Senckenberg Nature Museum .

Winterwerb is buried in Frankfurt's main cemetery.
