Rudolf von Renvers
Rudolf von Renvers (born February 18, 1854 in Aachen as Rudolf Renvers , also Rudolph Renvers ; † March 22, 1909 in Berlin ) was a German medical officer.
Life
Rudolf Renvers completed his military medical training at the Berlin Medical-Surgical Friedrich Wilhelm Institute from 1871 to 1875 . In 1872 he became active in the Pépinière-Corps Suevo-Borussia with Berthold von Kern and Friedrich Loeffler . In 1875 he received his doctorate with a thesis on joint tuberculosis and was approved in 1877. During his military service, he initially worked as a medical officer in Düsseldorf and returned to the Friedrich Wilhelm Institute in 1885. From 1887 to 1892 he was assigned to the Charité as Ernst von Leyden's assistant . The title of professor was awarded to him in 1891 or 1892. As a general doctor à la suite , he retired from military service in 1893. Then he was director of the Moabit Hospital . He was ennobled in 1905 .
Renvers described influenza and influenza pneumonia. During his military service, he did research on the pathology of the heart and on yellow fever, later particularly on the digestive system. He was also committed to the further training of medical and nursing staff.
Rudolf von Renvers died in Berlin in 1909 at the age of 55. His grave is in the old cathedral cemetery of St. Hedwig's parish there on Liesenstrasse .
