Rudy Schneyder (bourgeois Rudolf Johann Schneider ) (born September 16, 1966 in Schwarzach (Lower Bavaria) ) is a German singer , guitarist and entertainer .

Live and act

Even in elementary school he yodelled in class. At the age of nine he stood on stage for the first time. In the beer tent of his hometown he had his first public appearance with a brass band with the title Das Kufsteiner Lied . A key experience was an appearance in the dance café “Zur Lacke”. He was unexpectedly brought onto the stage by the band Blue Diamonds without a rehearsal. After that he went live with some bands.

In 1991 he applied to WDR for Rudi Carrell's TV show with a demo tape. From 700 applicants he was invited to audition by the WDR. After the casting, he was selected from the last 30 applicants. On December 6, 1991, in front of over 23 million viewers, his singing career began with an appearance and the title Appenzeller Yodel on the Rudi Carrell Show on ARD.

He became known as the King of Yodelers . His debut album Grüß mir die Berge was released in 1991 by Polysound. He signed his first record deal in 1993 with SPV in Hanover. His first single, Grüß mir die Berge , was subsequently released with the album of the same name that followed, which also featured well-known yodel classics with their own titles. This album made him known in the media. In 1994 Rudy Schneyder recorded the single Der Country Jodler together with the composer and lyricist Gerhard Degele , where he found the traditional connection to country music.

This was then followed by other appearances on larger stages, CD productions, radio appearances and other television programs such as popular hit parade ZDF, Musikantenscheune, Achim's hit parade MDR. In 1998 he adopted the stage name Rudy Schneyder. In 1998 the single was released there in the wall , with the album Then I just give everything . In 1999 he signed a three-year contract with Gerig Musikverlage in Bergisch Gladbach. The single was created with his producer Klaus Löhmer and Lutz Ilgner: God protect our Bavaria .

In 2002 the single Hey Country Lady was created . In 2010 Schneyder's paths crossed with the Japanese yodeler Takeo Ischi . At the end of 2011 they recorded a CD with two yodel duets in the studio. Both songs bring out the yodel voices of Takeo Ischi and Rudy Schneyder. In 2016 Gerhard Mayer from Austria produced his new solo CD.
