Myans is a French commune with 1,236 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Savoie in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Chambéry and the canton of Montmélian . The inhabitants are called Myannérains .

Myans is about ten kilometers from Chambéry and is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of La Ravoire in the north and north-west, Challes-les-Eaux and Saint-Jeoire-Prieuré in the north and north-east, Chignin in the east, Porte-de-Savoie with Les Marches in the South and southeast, Apremont in the west and Saint-Baldoph in the northwest.

The A43 autoroute runs along the eastern edge of the municipality .
