Montendry is located about 25 kilometers east-southeast of Chambéry on the Gélon River . Montendry is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chamoux-sur-Gelon in the north and west, Montgilbert in the east, Saint-Georges-d'Hurtières in the south-east, Le Pontet in the south and Champ-Laurent in the south-west.
