Arbin is a French municipality with 777 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Savoie in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the canton of Montmélian in the Arrondissement of Chambéry and is a member of the Cœur de Savoie municipality .

location

Arbin is located about twelve kilometers southeast of Chambéry and about 44 km north-northeast of Grenoble . The Isère delimits the municipality in the southeast. Neighboring communities of Arbin are Francin in the north and north-west, Montmélian in the north and east, Cruet in the north and north-east, Planaise in the east and south-east and La Chavanne in the south. The community is located within the Massif des Bauges Regional Nature Park .
