Chamousset is located about 22 kilometers east-southeast of Chambéry on the Isère and the confluence of the Arc . Chamousset is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Fréterive in the north, Aiton in the east and northeast, Bourgneuf in the south and southeast, Châteauneuf in the south and west and Saint-Pierre-d'Albigny in the west and northwest.
