Chamoux-sur-Gelon is located about 23 kilometers east-southeast of Chambéry in the valley of the Gélon river . Chamoux-sur-Gelon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bourgneuf in the north and northeast, Montgilbert in the east, Montendry in the east and southeast, Champ-Laurent in the south, Villard-Léger in the southwest, Betton-Bettonet in the west and Châteauneuf in the northwest.
