La Bauche is a French municipality with 505 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Savoie in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Rhône-Alpes ). It belongs to the canton of Le Pont-de-Beauvoisin (until 2015 Les Échelles ) in the Arrondissement of Chambéry and is a member of the Cœur de Chartreuse community .

La Bauche is about 15 kilometers southwest of Chambéry . Neighboring municipalities of La Bauche are Attignat-Oncin in the north, Saint-Thibaud-de-Couz in the east and northeast, Saint-Jean-de-Couz in the east and southeast, Saint-Pierre-de-Genebroz in the south and southeast and Saint-Franc in the West.
