It belongs to the canton of Le Pont-de-Beauvoisin in the Arrondissement of Chambéry and is a member of the Le Lac d'Aiguebelette municipality . The inhabitants are called Dullinois .

Dullin is about 15 kilometers west-southwest of Chambéry . Neighboring municipalities of Dullin are Ayn in the north, Novalaise in the north and northeast, Saint-Alban-de-Montbel in the east, La Bridoire in the south and Verel-de-Montbel in the west.

The Autoroute A43 ( Tunnel de Dullin ) runs through the municipality .
