Katrin Just

Katrin Just (* 1967 in Hamburg ) is a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Social Court .

From 1988 to 1993 she studied law at the Saarland University , from 1988 to 1990 as a double degree at the Center d'Etudes Juridiques Françaises with the degree Diplôme d'études universitaires générales (DEUG) Droit. In 1993 she passed the first state examination and in 1996 the second state examination.

Just then worked as a judge at the Speyer Social Court and was appointed judge for life there in 2001. In October 1998 she was seconded as a research assistant to the Federal Social Court in Kassel , which lasted until September 2001. From April 2002 she worked at the Mainz Social Court , but from October 2002 to March 2003 she was seconded to the Regional Social Court of Rhineland-Palatinate and from March 2004 to August 2006 as a research assistant at the Federal Constitutional Court. In January 2005, she was appointed judge at the State Social Court of Rhineland-Palatinate.

With effect from March 1, 2017, Katrin Just was appointed judge at the Federal Social Court. Thorben Albrecht , State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs , handed her the certificate of appointment on February 21, 2017 . Just has been assigned to the 1st Senate of the Federal Social Court, which is responsible for statutory health insurance .

Just is co-author of a work on statutory health insurance and has written numerous comments.

She is married and has two kids.
