Villard-Léger is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Betton-Bettonet in the north, Chamoux-sur-Gelon in the northeast, Champ-Laurent in the east, La Table in the south and southeast, Villard-Sallet in the southwest and La Trinité in the west.
