Villard-Léger is a French municipality with 473 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) within the arrondissement Chambéry in the department of Savoie in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The municipality belongs to the canton of Saint-Pierre-d'Albigny (until 2015: canton of Chamoux-sur-Gelon ). The inhabitants are called Villarlégois .

Villard-Léger is located about 21 kilometers east-southeast of Chambéry . Villard-Léger is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Betton-Bettonet in the north, Chamoux-sur-Gelon in the northeast, Champ-Laurent in the east, La Table in the south and southeast, Villard-Sallet in the southwest and La Trinité in the west.
