Name origin
Opened in 1827, the street is named after the family who owned the property on Avenue Bugeaud before today's private street was built. In her will, Mlle Félicie Dosne asked for a retirement home for old women or officer's widows to be built with her assets. The Dosne Foundation is called “Retraite Dosne” and is located at number 5 Ter on the street.
