The Ruin Point ( English ; Polish Przylądek Ruin ) is a rocky headland on the northeast coast of Nelson Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It forms the eastern boundary of the entrance to Edgell Bay .
Polish scholars named them descriptively in 1984. It is named after the basalt pillars towering on the headland , which in their entirety are reminiscent of a ruin .
