The Hanselburg is the artificial ruin of a hilltop castle in a wooded area in Lower Austria's Loosdorf (municipality of Fallbach) in the Weinviertel .
In 1800 , Prince Johann I von Liechtenstein had the romantic artificial ruin built as a hunting pavilion and snack bar on the remains of an old house mountain . On his name day , the building was inaugurated as the Hanselburg.
The Loosdorfer Hanselburg has a much larger counterpart in South Moravia , the Hansenburg , near Eisgrub Castle .
