The Pfaffenweiler ruins are the remains of a hilltop castle on a hill in the area of the Pfaffenweiler residential area in the Herfatz district of the municipality of Amtzell in the Ravensburg district ( Baden-Württemberg ).

The castle, built at the beginning of the 13th century, was mentioned in 1287 as “Phafinwilare” and was the seat of the Lords of Pfaffenweiler, who were ministerials of the St. Gallen monastery . The lost castle and accessories were a fiefdom of the St. Gallen monastery and from 1436 in the possession of the Humpis . The gentlemen von Goßholz are also named as other owners. In 1664 the castle is said to be in ruins. The castle hill and remains of the wall still bear witness to the former castle complex.
