Ruiru
Ruiru is a city in Kiambu County in Kenya . It is located three kilometers from the city limits of Nairobi . Ruiru is a satellite town of the capital and can be reached both by road and rail.
The population was 100,000 in 1999, but rose to around 220,000 in 2005. The area is 292 km², which is slightly less than the area of the city of Leipzig .
There are numerous coffee plantations in the fertile surroundings of the city.
