Ruivães is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .

Ruivães is part of the Vila Nova de Famalicão district in the Braga district . The community had an area of ​​3.1 km² and 1917 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).

On September 29, 2013, the parishes of Ruivães and Novais were merged to form the new parish União das Freguesias de Ruivães e Novais . Ruivães is the seat of this newly formed community.
