Rukkirahu (German Rukki ) is an uninhabited West-Estonian Baltic Sea island in Väinameri .
location
It is located west of the mainland village of Rohuküla with its famous port. The 5.5 hectare island administratively belongs to the municipality of Haapsalu in Lääne County . It is uninhabited.
Leading light
On the island is since 1860 a leading light , which particularly for the shipping link between Heltermaa on the island of Hiiumaa and Rohuküla is important. On today's white concrete tower there is a lantern room with an immediate balcony. The light beam can be seen 5 to 6 nautical miles .
