The annual International Web Rule Symposium ( RuleML ) is an international symposium on research and application as well as the languages ​​and standards of rule-based systems and logical programming . Since 2017 the conference series has been held under the new name International Joint Conference on Rules and Reasoning (RuleML + RR) . RuleML + RR is in the Semantic Web , Logic and Artificial Intelligence category as the primary conference for rule-based research .

History and past events

The conference series has been held without interruption since 2002. The RuleML Web Rule Symposium emerged from a series of first international workshops since 2002, later international RuleML conferences in 2005 and 2006 and international symposia since 2007. It has been held as the International Joint Conference on Rules and Reasoning (RuleML + RR) since 2017.

The International Rule Challenge has been part of the RuleML Symposium since 2007 and includes, among other things, a rule base competition .
