Othmar Doublier

Othmar Doublier (born September 4, 1865 in Vienna ; † April 29, 1946 there ) was an Austrian legal historian and librarian .

Life

Othmar Doublier was born on September 4, 1865 in Vienna as the son of the teacher Laurenz Doublier. In 1887 he began a two-year study at the Austrian Institute of Historical Research , and then moved into the University of Freiburg , which it the doctor 's rights doctorate . He was sent back to Vienna in 1893 as a royal-imperial librarian at the archive and the library of the Ministry of Finance, and two years later he moved to the local national library. He became its vice director in 1918, at the same time a councilor and a member of the legal history state examination commission. On April 29, 1946, he died at the age of 80.
