Rulers of India ( ruler of India ) is an English-biographical book series to the rulers of India , the late 19th and early 20th century by William Wilson Hunter edited and in Oxford (Clarendon Press), London (Frowde) and New York (Macmillan ) has been published since 1890. Hunter himself contributed the volumes on the Marquess of Dalhousie (1890) and the Earl of Mayo (1891) to the series. The rulers of British India formed a focus of the series .
