Rumbaumsche School
The establishment of the Rumbaum School in today's Karolinenviertel of Hamburg took place in 1690 on the initiative of the widow Helene Rumbaum as part of the orphan welfare at the time , which was suggested by Hieronymus Pasmann (1641-1716). The first building at the time was built in 1690 on Valentinskamp, the later successor building in 1892 at today's Flora-Neumann-Straße 5 in Hamburg.
Among the students at the time was u. a. Carl von Ossietzky with a free place .
