Rumpelstiltskin Grinder is an American thrash metal band from Philadelphia , Pennsylvania that was formed in 2002.
history
The band was founded in 2002 by guitarists Matt Moore and Ryan Moll, and drummer Patrick Battaglia. A short time later, bassist Shawn Riley and singer Jason Sidote joined the cast. The band developed the first songs and released the live album Live at the Dungeon: Raped by Bears in 2003 with an edition of 100. After a split release with Jumbo's Killcrane appeared in 2004 , singer Sidote left the band and was replaced by Eli Shaika. After the band had signed a contract with Relapse Records , the band released their debut album Buried in the Front Yard in October 2005. After touring with Municipal Waste , Shaika left the band in August 2006 as well. As a result, bassist Riley also took over the position of singer. In 2008 two more split releases appeared, followed by the next album in 2009 with Living for Death, Destroying the Rest . In the following years the members devoted themselves to other projects until the album Ghostmaker was released in 2012 .
style
The band started out playing classic thrash metal. In later albums borrowings from Death Metal could be heard.
