The Runcorn Glacier is a glacier on the Black Coast of the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows west of the Hess Mountains in a south-easterly direction to the Beaumont Glacier , which it reaches shortly before the confluence with the head end of the Hilton Inlet .

The United States Geological Survey mapped the glacier using aerial photographs taken by the United States Navy from 1966 to 1969. The British Antarctic Survey carried out surveys between 1972 and 1973. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named them in 1978 after the British geophysicist Stanley Keith Runcorn (1922-1995), who worked at the University of Newcastle from 1956 to 1985 .
