The Rundle Peaks are a group of mainly icy mountain peaks in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . They are located on the southern flank of the Byrd Glacier immediately east of the confluence of the Sefton Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1965 after Arthur S. Rundle, a member of the teams of the United States Antarctic Research Program , who carried out glaciological and geophysical studies of the Ross Ice Shelf between 1961 and 1962 and from 1962 to 1963 .
