The small runestone of Årdal kirke ( Samnordisk runtextdatabas N 187) is in the cemetery of Årdal church in Bygland municipality in Fylke Agder in Norway .

The rune stone in the form of a rectangular slab was found near the old church in 1881 and later placed in the cemetery of the new one, a few meters from the cemetery wall.

It is 1.05 meters high, about 60 cm wide and 10 cm thick. The runic inscription was removed over the years and can hardly be read today. The recognizable remainder reads: ... "May God help his soul". The stone is believed to date from 1050 to 1100 AD.

The rune stones of Årdal kirke are also used on rune stones N 344 to N 346 in Årdal, in Fylke Vestland and rune stone N 253 in Årdal i Ryfylke in Fylke Rogaland .

Nearby is the Galteland runestone .
