Location in the province of Agder

Bygland is a municipality in the Norwegian Fylke (province) Agder . On February 27, 2020 it had 1162 inhabitants. It is located in Setesdal on Lake Byglandsfjorden .

Bygland is also the main town of the municipality, which also includes Åraksbø, Austad, Byglandsfjord, Grendi, Langeid, Lauvdal, Litveit, Longerak, Moi, Ose, Sandnes, Skåmedal and Tveit. Riksvei 9 runs through the municipality from Kristiansand on the south coast to Haukeli in the province of Vestfold og Telemark .
