Runestone from Börjesgård

The runestone of Börjesgård ( Samnordisk runtextdatabas Vg 114) stands east of the farm of the same name on the Torpabäcken stream, northeast of Grästorp in Västergötland in Sweden .

The rune stone made of gneiss is 2.5 m high, 0.6 m wide and 0.3 m thick and is dated to 980-1015 AD. The rune text in the RAK style is within a single text band in the form of a hook and was painted in 1990. In the upper left part of the stone has broken off, causing a rune to be lost. The rune height is very large at 12 to 14 cm.

The inscription reads:

þuri: risþi: stin: þonsi: ift-: tuka: bruþur: sin: harþa: kuþan: trik:
"Tore put this stone after Toke, his brother, a very good young man."

Nearby are the rune stones Vg 113 and Vg 115 and the rune stone of Sal .
