Rusiate Rogoyawa (born May 16, 1961 in Cikobia ) is a former Fijian cross-country skier .

Career

Rogoyawa came to cross-country skiing as a student of electrical engineering in Oslo and started for his home country Fiji at the Olympic Winter Games in Calgary in 1988 as the only athlete and also the first winter sportsman at the Games in Fiji's Olympic history . As this he was also the flag bearer. In the individual race over 15 km, he finished 83rd.

At his second start at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer , Rogoyawa was again the only starter in his country and therefore also the flag bearer at the opening ceremony. He only started over 10 km and reached the finish in 88th place.
