Ruth Davidon

Ruth Davidon (born March 20, 1964 in New York City ) is a former rower from the United States.

Athletic career

The daughter of civil rights activist William Davidon began rowing in 1978. At the World Championships in 1993 , the US launched sculls in the cast Serena Eddy-Moulton , Monica Tranel , Michelle Knox-Zaloon and Ruth Davidon and won the bronze medal behind the boats from China and Germany. From 1994 Davidon competed in the single . She finished twelfth at the 1994 World Championships and sixth at the 1995 World Championships . At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, she also competed in the single and finished sixth.

Four years later she returned to competitive sports and formed a double scull with Carol Skricki . The two finished third in the World Cup twice. At the Olympic regatta in Sydney , they just missed a medal in fourth place, 0.9 seconds behind the third-placed Lithuanians.
