Ruth Feldman

Ruth Feldman (born December 8, 1960 ) is an Israeli psychologist and neurobiologist whose research focuses primarily on issues of early childhood development, the parent-child relationship and disorders of the same. She is a professor at Bar Ilan University in Ramat Gan, Tel Aviv District, Israel.

Life

Ruth Feldman received her PhD from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1994 . She was appointed professor of psychology at Bar Ilan University, where she heads the center for brain research in the department of psychology. She is also an Associate Professor at Yale University's Child Study Center in the United States .

Ruth Feldman's research focuses on the development of inter-familial relationships and normal and disturbed parent-child relationships. In addition, there is research in the field of regulatory processes during childhood and prenatal development, the neurological basis of communication, maternal and child depression, as well as trauma and stress in children.

In 2020, Feldman received the EMET Social Science Prize .
