Career
Ryūji Sawakami learned to play football on the university team of Osaka University of H&SS . He signed his first contract with Cerezo Osaka in 2016 . The club from Osaka , a city in Osaka prefecture , played in the second highest Japanese league, the J2 League . The club's U23 team played in the third division, the J3 League . At the end of 2016, the club occupied fourth place in the J2 table and rose to the first division . So far he has played 46 games in the first team and 29 games in the U23 team.
