Ryūya Yamanaka
Ryūya Yamanaka ( Japanese 山 中 竜 也 , Yamanaka Ryūya ; born April 11, 1995 in Mihara (today: Mihara-ku , Sakai ), Osaka Prefecture , Japan ) is a Japanese professional boxer in the straw weight and current world champion of the WBO association in that weight class .
Career
In 2011 Yamanaka successfully started his professional career. On November 11, 2016, he won the vacant OPBF title when he won against Merlito Sabillo unanimously on points. At the end of August of the following year, Yamanaka competed against his compatriot Tatsuya Fukuhara for the WBO world title and also won by a unanimous judge's decision.
