Ryōya Ogawa ( Japanese 小川 諒 也 , Ogawa Ryōya ; born November 24, 1996 in Tokyo , Tokyo Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Ryōya Ogawa learned to play football on the school team of Ryutsu Keizai University Kashiwa High School . He signed his first contract with FC Tokyo in 2015 . The club, which is based in Tokyo Prefecture, played in the country's first top division, the J1 League . The Tokyo U23 team played in the third division, the J3 League . In 2015 he played once in the J.League U-22 Selection . This team, which played in the third division, the J3 League, was made up of the best young players from the higher-class clubs. The team was founded with a view to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro . The players were selected on a weekly basis from a pool for which each club was able to name talented individuals worth promoting; the composition of the team therefore varied greatly from game to game. From 2016 to 2019 he played 52 times for the U23 team in the third division. In 2019 he was runner-up with the first team.
