Ryszard Czerwiec (born February 28, 1968 in Nowy Targ , Poland ) is a former Polish football player .

Club career

The midfielder began his professional career in 1989 with Zagłębie Sosnowiec , where he played until 1992. In 1992 he moved to the league competitor Widzew Łódź , with whom he was twice Polish champion and once Polish cup winner and played in the Champions League. In 1996 he ventured abroad and moved to EA Guingamp in France . Here he played for two seasons and made a total of 21 appearances in Ligue 1 . After returning to Poland , he played for Wisła Kraków (twice Polish champions, once cup winners and once league cup winners), Szczakowianka Jaworzno and GKS Katowice in the first division. In total, Ryszard Czerwiec made 378 games and 68 goals in the Ekstraklasa . From 2006 he let his active career end with several lower class clubs and ended his career in 2009 for good.
