Ryu Mi-yong (born February 14, 1921 in Manchuria , † November 23, 2016 in Pyöngyang , North Korea ) was a North Korean politician.

Ryu Mi-yong left home when she was 16 and married for the first time. After the division of her Korean homeland, she lived in the south of the country. Her second husband, Choe Dok-sin , was a South Korean politician. In 1977 Ryu and her husband went into exile in the USA and in 1986 to North Korea , where she lived until her death. After the death of her husband in 1989, she took over the chairmanship of the central committee of the Chondoist Ch'ŏngu party , a North Korean bloc party . She was also a member of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly , the North Korean Parliament, until her death .

Ryu died of lung cancer at the age of 95, according to North Korean news agency KCNA .
