Ryūichi Sugiyama ( Japanese 杉山 隆 一 , Sugiyama Ryūichi ; born July 4, 1941 in Shimizu (today: Shizuoka District ), Shizuoka Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

National team

In 1961 Sugiyama made his debut for the Japanese national soccer team . Sugiyama made 56 international appearances and scored 15 goals. With the Japanese national team he qualified for the Olympic Games in 1964 and 1968 . At the Olympic Games in 1968, Japan won the bronze medal.
