Sándor Bodnár

Sándor Bodnár (born June 16, 1890 in Košice , † November 6, 1955 ) was a Hungarian football player who took part in the 1912 Summer Olympics.

He was a member of the Hungarian Olympic team and scored a goal in the final of the consolation round against Austria at 3-0 in Stockholm and thus reached fifth place. He played all three tournament games, two of which took place in the consolation round. In the first game against England, which was also a quarter-final game, he missed a penalty when the score was 0-0, the game ended 7-0 for England .

His clubs in Hungary were NSC Nemzeti SC and MAC Magyar AC Budapest . He played 20 times for the national team and scored 18 goals (1910-1916). He also scored the hundredth goal of the Hungarian national team against Norway in 1912.
