Sándor Fazekas
Sándor Fazekas (born May 3, 1963 in Karcag ) is a Hungarian politician of the Fidesz party - Hungarian Citizens' Union and member of the Hungarian Parliament .
Life
Fazekas studied law at the University of Sciences in Szeged . From 1990 until 2010 he was mayor of his hometown Karcag. From 1998 to 2002 he was a member of the Hungarian Parliament and from 2006 until today. From 1998 to 2002 he was also vice-chairman of the Fidesz group. From 2010 to 2014 Fazekas was József Gráf's successor as Minister for Regional Development and Agriculture in the Orbán II cabinet and from 2014 to 2018 Minister of Agriculture in the Orbán III cabinet .
