São João Baptista de Vila Chã is a place and a former municipality ( Freguesia ) in the northern Portuguese district of Ponte da Barca . The community had 481 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).

On September 29, 2013 the parishes of Vila Chã (São João Baptista) and Vila Chã (Santiago) were merged to form the new parish União das Freguesias de Vila Chã (São João Baptista e Santiago) . Vila Chã (São João Baptista) is the seat of this newly formed community.
