The multilingual website Slovake.eu enables free study of the Slovak language through e-learning . The language courses offered at various levels (mini course for tourists , courses A1 and A2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference ) are divided into thematic chapters and equipped with audio and video recordings as well as many exercises . The site contains an overview of Slovak grammar and spelling , a translation dictionary and various language games . It also offers basic and interesting information about Slovakia and the Slovak language, a library with works by Slovak authors and the possibility for registered users to communicate with each other in the form of text messages.

The target group of the site are foreigners living in Slovakia , partners of mixed marriages , residents of the border areas , Slovaks living abroad , Slovakians and Slavists , immigrants , students and tourists . The site is currently available in Czech , German , English , French , Lithuanian , Polish and Slovak language versions as well as in Esperanto .

The project was created on the basis of experiences that lernu! , the largest portal for learning Esperanto . It is the first of its kind and was supported by the European Commission under the KA2 program - Lifelong Learning Program . The organizer is the Education @ Internet civic association , partners are the Linguistic Institute ovudovít Štúr of the Slovak Academy of Sciences SAV ( Slovakia ), the Studio GAUS ( Germany ), the University of Vilnius ( Lithuania ), the Academy for Computer Science, Management and Administration in Warsaw ( Poland ) and the Slovak Center in London ( Great Britain ).
